    Ugliest Ship in ACTA?

I think it would have been best of AoG had designed some of the 'early era' ships to look like cousins to the Hyperion... it would have made the transition to the 'Omega Era' bricks and the 'armor plate' warlock eras look better. As is, the Hyperion (and variants) is kind of an isolated design...

    ACTA RIP....

I would not be opposed to 2009 being some sort of 'relaunch' even if it invalidated, or at least made my current minis "less valid"... I think even if there is a scale change it's not as big a deal as it would be with many things. Ships in Babylon 5 are somewhat oversized as-is, since the ship...

    ACTA RIP....

I guess this means item number 8 in the "The 10 best things about ACTA" article in S&P isn't quite correct... I'm sure this wasn't an easy decision for Mongoose. I haven't even gotten into 2nd edition ACTA due to various roadbumps in my life of late... As well, I was dissatisfied with the...

    white star gunship

While I'm not sure if it is a good idea or not, the main "pros" for redoing the WS mini would be that it is a very visible representative canon vessel, and most I've seen have some mold damage along one side that makes them resemble the batman villain two-face... But if the simple solution of...

New race for Call to Arms

    Sheridan or Cthulhu?

Who's fault was it? (mild 'In the Beginning' spoiler)

As a note to the "Late Delivery from Avalon" source being biased point, note that "In the Beginning" is the story of an elderly Centauri Emperor who's been known to spin things as second (if not first nature) and drinks. A lot. And let's not start on the idea that he keeps a Narn around for...

    I need help

I must have missed this in the updates... With the Scout and Aux Craft White Stars does this mean there's now a difference between the Shadow War era WS and the 5th season WS with Nials? Or WS AS Aux Craft?

    2E EA Fleet Question

Another idea I like for the Narn would be their equivalent of an "Early Days" fleet. Basically, a mix of Centauri vessels, rebuilt Centauri hulls (I.E. the ships built from leftover frames and packed with weapons and Narn instead of luxuries) with a smattering of the oldest modern Narn designs...

    Suggestion for 2E

I'd prefer a small book of the rules and a regularly updated mega-PDF of the fleet lists.

REVISED: Current PL, Points or Diff PL?

I think that's a big advantage. It would be even bigger if I got to try the campaign rules at some point.

REVISED: Current PL, Points or Diff PL?

DP9's Heavy Gear used a formula-based system as well. It wasn't bad, but it could be broken. When I was active on the Heavy Gear mailing list I remember the veterans had a set of semi-official guidelines for designs to help keep things reasonable and prevent either abuses of the system (taking...

Points or PL system to pick fleets?

Perhaps various 'undercosted' ships could come with 'escort' fighters (or even free low-PL ships) in addition to on-board craft? So we'd never see a lone Omega, as it would get some extra fighters or a Hermes with it?

    Ideas for 2e

While I'd want to check the shows first, I could see the base WS losing it's fighters, maybe to make the WS II a slight bit more useful. The only time we see a WS actively using fighters is S5, I believe.

    Canon Versus stats....

I assumed the WS was given a F arc weapon for the same reason most fighters are given T weapons... As a reflection of it's maneuverability.

Raiders, are they worth it ?

Is it actually a former EA design? I thought there were some references to it being built as a competitor to the starfury, more for local governments/corporate security where the ability to go into atmosphere would be an asset, especially before the Thunderbolt's introduction.
