Zamboula in Aghrapur hint

Vincent Darlage,
I have finally gotten around to downloading your Aghrapur article from signs and portents. Excellent as ever.
I noticed that the sample Turanian soldiers have allegiances to Jungir Khan and to Zamboula instead of to Yezdigerd and to Turan.
Is there an upcoming piece of work on Zamboula which you are going to reveal to us shortly(in S&P at least)?
Zamboula is far and away my favourite location in the whole of the Hyborian age though so far I have tried to avoid setting adventures there for fear of not doing justice to such an exotic and dangerous locale.
Plese, please, please say that you have something in the pipeline!

Oops. I forgot to change the allegiences.

I wrote an adaptation of "Man-Eaters of Zamboula" for Mongoose a long time ago and gave it to them (on Sept. 9, 2005, to be exact), including information on Zamboula. I don't know if they intend to publish it or not (or even if they remember I submitted it, as I think there have been editorial changes since then). It also included a Zamboulan "race" for characters.

I have asked if I could write a Zamboula sourcebook over the past year or two, but nothing has come of it. I would love to write a Zamboula sourcebook, but as of right now there is nothing that I know of in the pipeline for it (of course, I have no idea what other authors are writing).

That would be great. Because of its location and history, Zamboula is a very important city and deserves its own sourcebook. Let's hope Mongoose is listening.

So Vincent,I presume that this "Maneaters of Zamboula" was an adventure with some added info regarding the city.
I would be interested to know approximately what percentage of the population would be slaves and more specifically Darfari's. I cannot for the life of me imagine that there would be a huge population of this particular type of slave yet it mentions that they roam the streets at night and that even the Pelishtim watchmen fear assault by them.
It also seems that the Turanian overlords pretty much ignore them so they cannot number enough to mount a serious threat to the order of things. This is then contradicted by the fact that they are allowed to roam at will and carry out their hideous rituals for fear of provoking an uprising.
I would really like to know what your thoughts on this are. Do you think that ignorance is the problem and that the average Zamboulan, even the slave owning ones, does not not know how to distinguish ethnicity amongst the blacks? Hence they believe that there are far more of these cannibal cultists than there actually are.
Also, just exactly how many troops do you think that the Satrap needs to patrol the caravan routes and prop up Turanian rule? It is clear of course that Pelishtim mercenaries would be included in the total.
