XP in a campaign

I am playing the Drakh in a campaign and one of the ships on a carrier crippled and skeleton crewed a ship in a game. Does the carrier get the XP for the action, as the ship is part of the carrier. I think it does, just want a confirmation as I can't find it in the rules. Thanks in advance for an answer.

Fighters don't give or gain XP, thus the carriers don't. Otherwise, the carriers that send their fighters into a battle they themselves don't participate in won't gain XP for being in orbit twiddling their thumbs

Yes, it was a light raider. The Drakh don't have fighters.
