World At War Listing

He's got a trick jaw.

Can dislocate it like a snake, great for shouting orders over the din of a tank fight!!

Approves.

Nice to see a british soldier in ww2...!!!

"Not all yanks you know..!! " ;-)

I`m off to salute, so it better be there.....

I saw that the website has WaW listed as arriving in April, but S&P has it at May. Which is closer to correct? I want to get my pre-order in...

The cover art is pitiful. Obviously, that guy's mum told him he could draw.

Parents can be so cruel sometimes.

You can always count on Forum members to find something to rant about! :D

What's important is what's between the covers.

To be fair it's a long way from the worst games cover i've seen and far from the worst art mongoose has published. That said, yeah not stunning.

My fav WW2 rule set "Rules of engagement" by Great escape games has a horrible cover but the inside of teh book is excellent. No dodgy drawings inside just RL black and white photo goodness. Or in a nut shell, don't judge a book by it's cover...

rvrratt and 127th - That's as may be, lads, but for a half-second when I saw the guy, I wasn't sure if he was supposed to be some kind of grotesque racial caricature or merely had something terribly wrong with his proportions.

Besides, everyone knows you can sometimes judge a book by it's cover. Like if "Written by Dan Brown" is on the dust jacket, for example. (Ba-dum tish! Thank you, thank you, I'll be here all night!)

I'm looking forward to this, although why do WWII games usually start in the later war period?

lack of imagination?

I think it's because you get to play with nice toys like the Tiger/Panther/IS2/Me262 etc

Think about who the main combatants were in the early war, and then think about what nationality half our players are. . .
