WIP Undercity mutant gang

Thought I'd do something with the hundreds of GW plastics I've got laying about. Military themed (heavilly inspired by buffy demons) gang. First one finished (except his base :) )
Note the camp trousers. Sub-urban camo

I ws going to use the extensive range of easy to convert official GOMC-1 minis, then I woke up :)
There are worse companies about than GW and I still use their products... face it, most industries are pretty nasty. If I went truly ethical I think stopping using GW products is about 130th on my list. I've stopped buying GW stuff, but only because I don't play any of their games. I play SST and Gangs because they are really good. Simple. I play urban war and confrontation because the figures are brilliant.

Anyway, I'm on a crusade to convert people to GOMC-1 and if the millions of GW figs out there can be used we're halfway there :)
A rifle is a rifle..... so that one can be a las rifle, stump gun etc.... Same for the rest of the gang.
If people spent less time harping on about how bad GW is and more time promoting the good stuff the gaming world would be a brighter place, you don't convert anyone by attacking what they believe in.
And £400 of forge world city ruins certainly improve the look of a gaming table :)

It's a no-brainer really, all those kids who won't try GOMC-1 because it isn't GW, just tell them to bring along a dozen imperial guard or similar and you are sorted.... orcs etc.. as mutants. Once they've played a few times they'll be hooked, maybe move onto more mongoose stuff. My latest gang is made from imperial guard, beastmen and mordheim humans (gang leader also has some marine bits for his shell armour).
Anyone who plays necromunda will have plenty of stuff to try gangs with.
'try this with your gw figs' much better than 'stop playing that, it's crap' etc..

I think LT meant that he just does not personally like crossing miniatures with other games.

I play GW, PP< and MP, and it is just a 'me' thing, but I do not cross bits from the kits of the different companies. Not saying to stop doing what you are doing, its just I don't do it.

I really dislike GW. I have on several occasions put my hand made terrain on Ebay and said "This terrain works well with DnD Miniatures, Warhammer and Star wars miniatures."

None of their products in the shot, and not selling anything made by them. They had Ebay shut down the auction because it has the name of one of their games in it. Greedy greedy bastards.

I was never a fan of any of their games, I buy GW bits here and there but I always buy them secondhand. I cross miniatures from games all teh time, though. I use a lot of Heroclix figures for gang members, so I have some extra gangs for guests to use while they decide what figures thay really want to use.

Well, to anyone not a fan of crossing minis, good luck with GOMC-1
As they aren't making anything new for it, you're scuppered.
One normal gang type and no variants of the robots, undercity or apes.
Makes it a bit of a characterless setting if you don't add to it.

I would love to see them make more products, but to me the game is really fine as it is. I'm not sure how much you were all expecting. Extra weapons and all would be welcome, as well as some extra weapon sprues. I feel like if there were no more specialists or kinds of gangs the game would be fine.

That being said I would like to see more support for it. I'll buy just about anything they put out for the game.

yup, I'd love them to keep supporting it, but the rules are great and there are ample minis by other companies out there. It's a great way to get people into mongoose games.

Real nice paintjob, I would have -personally- removed the imperial eagle, but thats your opinion.

Not really Mage, I use Rezolution Minis in GOMC1 and East Riding Miniatures Cops as Citi Def.

I am not a fan of the GW plastics, they have over sized heads and hands and tend to look 'wooden' like Shop Window Dummies when assembled if you kwim.

Apes can be a problem, I actually use the original GW Apes as my Ape Gang (my Son Adam uses the Mongoose ones) with the Mongoose Ape Mobster to pad them out, other than that - you are stuck using the Eureka Boiler Suited Apes.

Undercity Gang, I used the Skinnie Slaves to pad mine out :D

Robot Gang - Mongoose Wise, use the Paranoia 'Bots'. I've been using the Foundry ABC Warriors ;)
