Have any of you played the SNES version of it? Is it good?

I ask because a local used video game store has (or at least had) a copy; if they still have it next month I'm going to get it.

Yes. In the grand scheme of things, I'd definitely say that the SNES titles were good. Hell, it's what started it all when it comes to the Wing Commander theme on video game consoles.
