Why was the Cover art changed for 2nd ed?

If you read through the forum (not so long ago), you'll have an explaination of this by Chris Quilliams himself.

I also really liked the old cover (the new one is nice to, though), but I'm sure we'll see it on some sourcebook in the future (a classbook for the Apewrestler prestige class perhaps :wink: ).
 
Yeah, I loved the first cover also, the mighty thewed bronze giant looks dangerous... in this one he is more like posing, but don't get me wrong, this one is great too, evokes more of the hyborian world.
 
In simple terms guys the reason that we change covers for second editions is so they can be clearly identified as such.

In addition in the case of many licensed products the wishes of the license holder needs to be taken into consideration.
 
I quite like the new cover personally. Only downside to it, is it is a little dark (as in literally a bit dark, not dark in nature lol).
