Why is the Vorchan so poor ?

Not necessarily, shorter ranged but more powerful could be a way to go.

Maybe there is a supply prolbem with laser parts.....

Theres just too many excuses to make up a brawler ship.

The Tertius has gotten to be the worst excuse ever: "we dont have the advanced stuff left over, so lets use old stuff from Vorchans!" Oops ship turned out more powerful than before?

The Omega Pulse Variant comes from B5wars where they were advantages to having pulse only armament (faster rate of fire for one...)

A lot of the variants are in fact. I believe the pulse Omega came from an episode where an Omega fires pulses weapons from all the aft weapon mounts including the one the Alexander blasts the Clarkstown with a laser from.

You mean the fact that Omegas were supposed to have aft pulse batteries only, hence the mention of "interceptors down" on the Clarkestown, yet the CGI team is ncie enough to screw up and fire a beam? ^^.

Damn i did like 20 corrections one this post. Friends dont let friends post tired.

This error is similar to the other CG error that has pretty much spawned this thread and all other Vorchan comparisons - in In the Beginning, according to JMS it was supposed to be a Primus jumping in and destroying the unsuspecting G'Quan in a single pass, not a Vorchan. This pretty much clears up the reason why Vorchans aren't this strong anywhere else in the show or games.

I personally think keeping the VOrchan's as are and simply putting Super AP back on their main gun wouild make them a far more feasible choice at skirmish versus the Darkner.

Vorchans are good "Wolfpack Hunters" and the Dusk coutari is an upguned version to take on "covert op missions".

It is perfectly reasonably for an upgunned Vorchan to take out an unexpeting G'Quan. crit 6/6 at max with Double Dammage? It's still a movie, and movies arn't always correct.

The pulse Omega was desigend to follow up it Hyperion predecessor. The idea behind this warship is that it has less need of maintanance and so can go on longer missions. (like protecting an explorer vessel)
Besides "Laser" Omega's need to take their boresight constantly in account, wile Pulse Omega's can make more freely manouvres. Sided with a couple of Nova's it realy dishes out waves of pain to all sides 8)
