Who are the Hurr?

The Dilgar weren't a dying race, they just had the possiblilty of being wiped out in one go...

They Hyach have a problem which can't exactly be solved by invading their neighbours and finding somewhere else to live...
In fact Dilgar-esque behavior could have been the cause of their problem in the first place...

plus as a dying race, the hyach probably don't really have the desire to be out their any more, choosing to stay at home and sulk ;-)
Just like the Dilgar? ;)

not really an accurate comparison.

the Dilgar had a dying world, the Hyach are just plain dying

Dilgar wern`t dying, their sun was gonna go boom so they just wanted a new place to call home.

Hyach seemed to be in the dieback phase literally.. and not all races had great expansionist aims.

Gaim seem to be at least equal to the Brakiri in terms of combat capability and Sheridan having to seek their aid means something.

also need to remember that Gaim also supplied Babylon 5 with a whole lot of nuclear warheads for self defence... he took a few when he went to z`ha`dum in the Whitestar.

I actualluy thought they were Narn warheads.

seem to remember that G`Kar got them but i think he got them off the Gaim, would need to recheck episode to be 100% sure.

EDIT think tneav82 has it right about the Gaim ambassador but would think they were Gaim weapons.

yeah, I'm sure G'Kar was involved somewhere in the whole thing, as I believe it was he who also noticed 2 were missing.

Well G'Kar introduced the weapons to Ivanova in the begining. He mentioned that Gaim ambassador was happy to deliver them so I would imagine it went roughly like: Somebody from B5 asks Gaim for them, Gaim ambassador sends them and leaves them in in G'Kar's custody who then gives them to Ivanova.

wonder what fluff the Gaim are getting, aog`s stuff was a bit dry with regard to them and their ships were just mostly refurbished ones form other races.

no help from the show as no named Gaim ships ever appeared.

The Hyach maybe dying, however there could be a cure using unknown futuristic genetics!!!
Step in the Drakh/Vorlons/Shadows/unknown parties with the cure?!!

PS i bet they have their own Excalibur version out there looking for a fix!

No, not too cool. Too flat. Models should be 3D - I'm sick of metal counters.

fraid not, that shows Hyach ships.... only pictures we see of Orieni ships is on the cover art of the old aog book; "Wars of the Centauri Republic"... it`s very hard to get a copy of it these days.
