Who are the Hurr?

yep... Franklin is talking about Hyach and not Hurr.

Correct.

On that subject, (this is a rhetorical question) why is it we are getting units for piddly League races like the the Hurr and the Gaim, but the Hyach still have not received a single ship?

I thought the Gaim used other race's ship designs, so all they would need is a fleet list...

according to AOG the Gaim used other races' ships, but Mongoose have given them their own designs.
The Pak'Ma'Ra instead use the other races' ships

The Gaim ship prototypes are decidedly...odd!

just a wild guess: organic/insectoid type ships of an aysmmetric design.

which i do hope they are not.

They are certainly asymmetric. What they are made of, I don't know.

by organic i meant their look/style of design.

sounds like MP are going with the predictable option then.

Think Mon Calamari, but more rounded and asymetric with guns and wing-like protrusions.

so long as my nightmare ships looking like SST bum firing Beatle Bugs doesn`t come to pass.

Who says the Gaim are a "piddly" League race. All evidence would suggest that they are actually quite powerful within the League. Their ambassador is commonly seen on the League council whilst I don't remember seeing a Hurr ambassador at all. Plus Sheridan was quite desperate to convince them to help the Brakiri against the Shadows, he referred to them as a regional power if I recall correctly.

they are I believe one of the youngest members of the league which is probably why some people think they may be "pidly" but they fought off the narn, so they can't be that weak!

They managed to do that without any space flight tech at all.
1. Narn land.
2. Narn massacred by hordes of uber-nasty warrior bugs (I mean Gaim).
3. Narn bombard planet (does little as most Gaim infrastructure is underground).
4. Repeat ad infinitum...

oh indeed, I Know that. So, move to space, aboard whatever ships they have construted from reverse engineering stuff, and you have some of the nastiest marines in history ;-)
If you want ground troops to sweep a planet to remove shadows, then gaim should rock.

As I recall, the Gaim warrior drones swarmed Narn ground troops like insects. That doesn't mean that a race is particularly advanced or mighty. Hell, when the Narn expelled the Centauri, they weren't even space-age at the time. Admittedly however it is not like I defined what I meant by "piddly".

Basically, my point is I don't understand why the Gaim and the Hurr are featured when both are relatively new to the League and have minimal real galactic influence, while the Hyach who helped found the thing and are probably its oldest and most advanced race (short of the Yolu) still haven't been featured at all.

Tzarevitch

But the Gaim whilst relatively new on the Galactic scene are still obviously influencial. Four other races would only join the war against the Shadows if the Gaim did, that's not the mark of an uninfluencial race.

Hell you mentioned the Narn, they and the Humans are both young compared to the Hyach but both are much more powerful and influencial. Age doesn't indicate anything about the races importance on the galactic arena.

Nick

plus as a dying race, the hyach probably don't really have the desire to be out their any more, choosing to stay at home and sulk ;-)
