Which version of the rules to buy?

I would like to buy a copy of the second edition of the rules. Various game outlets are selling what they call B5: ACTA "Revised Edition." Is this the second edition, or has that yet to come out? If this is not the second edition of the rules, where would the "revised edition" fit chronologically with all of the supplements to the rules?

This is not the second edition. Revised is based off the first edition, and is after many of the supplements.

We do not believe that Second Edition will be available by any outlet until at least August, so you can probably start looking for it 'round about then.

Or just check in here. On the day that it's announced, there'll probably be a fiesta.

The Revised Edition is a Revised version of the first addition, it is not the 2nd Edition. It is basically the first step in the current "chronology".

A Sky Full of Ships gives expanded fleet lists and some new rules.

Armageddon adds some more ships and modifies some rules and fleet lists.

The Drakh and Dilgar Fleetbooks detail those two fleets.

But at this juncture it would probably be best to just wait for 2nd Edition which will at least concentrate everything into two books.
