Where do I get a refund

Also with Warmachine/Hordes I've yet to see a model be released where the stats were not already public.

When some of the models in Evolution came out before the book, the rules/stats for the models were in Privateer's quarterly magazine prior to their release. So you knew their point costs, stats special abilities, etc before the models showed up in the stores.

Yeah I gotta agree there, the Warmachine book is gorgeouse.
I don't even play and I've been tempted to pick it up just for the background and pictures :D
BF:E though.... not so much...

the differance is warmachine/hordes books give you the whole army and its stats before you buy a figure. also they are amazingly gorgeous with great art and background material so 10x (or more) the quality of the BFevo book.

Picked them up recently - they are beautiful peices of work :D (hordes I mean)

You can't please everyone, and everyone has an opinion. If you don't like it, I respect your opinion. Just don't play the fan boy card with people you disagree with.

I think this was rvratt's main point.

If you want to take a look at a Value for money rulebook try looking at the Infinity rulebook £20 quid for what amounts to a full rulebook all stats for all armies, lists, bucketloads of fluff and some really gorgeous phtography and illustrations and artworks. All in a hardback bound cover, now thats value for money. I have just paid 15 quid for my VAS OOB book from Warfare this weekend and whilst the content is exactly what I was expecting, i.e excellent the actual production quality leaves a lot to be desired, photocopied pics look faded Russian flag is pixelated as if it was a poor scanned copy and the hardback cover was warped. I know I am not in a minority here as a number of people have complained about exactly the same things in their copy. I also trawled through about 20 or so copies before I purchased the one I now own I only bought it as I really needed it but wasn't happy with the quality. But having said all that the poster need to take it back to point of purchase as I am sure he has consumer rights if he belives he has purchased something that is advertised incorrectly.

Well it's not as if the Evo rulebook doesn't contain expanded rules over the basic sheet (and there's some changes in the main rules like the ability to split fire which aren't on the sheet), His complaint wold be more accurately described at being unhappy about the degree of new material. but it's not that big a deal as MGP do have a very generous refund policy.

Well, I can't be blamed for not being critical of Mongoose books... However, the BF:Evo rulebook is great!
Okay, I'm waiting on my replacement because it wasn't bound properly, but from what I have read so far, it's good. It's a simple game, therefore even the advanced rules won't take up too many pages. It's in colour too, with pictures so you can see what some nice terrain looks like and some rules examples. Colour costs more anyway.
The fact that new rules occasionally may come out in S&P? C'm On! At least it has new rules published. If publishing new stuff stops the game is dead (which let's face it, it might be anyway - but here's hoping!).
