Well, when do you say no more to buying supplements for games?

As far as MRQ, I think I will stop with the Dragonnewts. DM Guide and Spell Book.

Clanking City seems neat, but I do not like city settings. Also, I can create that myself.

Justrellia (Spelling) Is not my bag, I am happy with Ralios and the PDF. Any other places will be travelled through briefly if at all...

Pirates: They already have rules for that.

All I have purchased is the main book, companion, and monster's book. Oh yeah and the UZ! Though it hasn't arrived yet.

I will still buy glorantha magic, the GM guide, legendary heros, Player's guide, arms and equipment, dragonewts...........

THEN THATS IT!

Oh yeah, and the NINJA book.

Ouch!

I had resisted the urge pretty well until they got the EC line, so now they may have me hooked quite well. With Loz on board for it, especially, him being one of two favorite game writers. Otherwise none of the Glorantha stuff, and only the occasional book to support my BRP world/homebrew. The Companion, Equipment, maybe the Monsters books. EC books depending on quality and mostly just to read, and even then it pretty much depends on things like the artwork...no MRQ players around here that I know of, so there is no urgency to pick any of them up. Bottom line is, I'll help Mongoose out by buying at least some books if they produce a halfway decent line. Can't help with Glorantha but EC changes that some...

Me, I never get tired of buying supplements. I get paid every other week; I might as well use that money for something.

(Although pretty soon I will need to buy another bookcase for my RPG book collection...)

I do stop when it no longer becomes fun. For example, I've more or less stopped buying the D&D supplement books that have become pretty much "new ways to kill things". I will buy D&D setting books, however.

I also consider what will be most useful for my collection.

So far I've only purchased the Companion, Monsters, and Arms and Equipment. I never bought the Glorantha or Nehwon stuff as I'm just not interested in those as settings. However, I'll certainly be picking the core books and supplements for the Eternal Champion line...so looking forward to that. I'm all too happy to lay down money for useful supplements so for me it's very much a case by case basis.

I almost never buy location books, regardless of the game. I usually set aside 30-40 bucks each paycheck to buy gaming stuff, whether its ebaying for old Traveller books, new Runequest or Warhammer roleplay books, miniatures or whatever

Same here. I don't really set a limit on what I'll buy, as long as it is interesting. That has led to a bit of an ecclectic mix of books. So far I have:

I'm a fan of Loz's work too so I also went nuts this weekend and pre-ordered both Elric & Hawkmoon and then I pre-ordered Slaine just because it looks cool. Looking ahead I'm planning to get the Magic book, GM guide and Blood of Orlanth. I'm on the fence about the Clanking City and Granbretan. By the time everything is delivered I should have enough hardback books to build a small hut in the shanty town I will be living in....... :?
