What would happen to these overstayers

For the benefit of A Modern-Day Version of Traveller what, in The UK, would happen to these 3 guys who only overstayed due to something going wrong that they had no control over. Here's more info

1's Visa ran out at 8.00AM but the customs guy accidentally used The Stamper whose leave by time bit was 8,00PM by mistake

1's flight home was due to leave a hour before his Visa ran out by delays due to a storm passing over 3 hours earlier then expected delayed it till after his Visa ran out

A tourist witnesses A Mob Killing, has to go into Witness Protection and can't have his Visa Renewed due to The Mobster definitely having the means to get the Witnesses location via bribery, blackmail, hypnotism, torture or taking hostages and they can't risk the mobster being desperate enough to blow the guys plane home up in and blame it on A Local Terrorist Cell

That's not how visas work, but the guy with the visa has little to worry about since the chance of him coming to the attention of authorities is minimal. Roll against law level to avoid coming into contact with the authorities, with an additional roll per day or week for his visa expiry to be finally noticed and the relevant bodies. Anyway, if this guy is in 'witness protection' then the state will not be chasing after an expired visa, an extention or waiver could be issued.

Does not the IRA count as a mob? There have been a few terrorist attacks as well, I think in some cases that could count as organized crime. By the way, how can you tell the difference between a mob killing and a terrorist attack?

'Mob' always brings to mind the glamourised American-Itallian mafia.

Most of the violence in UK that makes the news these days is gang related or terrorist linked. Organised crime 'hits' are rarely reported, unlike Russian assassination of innocents by chemical weapons.
