Hard choices. I would like to see the OTU developed of course, but Judge Dredd and Strontium Dog are both Federation favorites. 2000 AD mutants are the best mutants of all, as Middenface McNulty can testify.

No Rogue Trooper?

Homebrew. While I love reading OTU and ATU stuff, I'd really much rather play out a story that me and my players create. Not only is it customized to our tastes, but it is more fun for us to wing it than try to keep the canon intact.

I was thinking the other day... whay don't MGP try and get a licence from Mr. Frank Chadwick to publish a new version of that Victorian/steampunk pearl Space 1889?

It always cried Traveller but never got to receive the GDW House Rules treatment, y'know...

It was House Engine 0.5...
T2K 2E was 1.0
T2K 2.2, DC, and C&D were 1.5
TNE was 1.6 or so...

It was, and is a good system, but one that suffers from 3 different task resolution systems:
1d for ≤ skill (simple skill checks... basis for T2K 2E)
Skill d for total ≥ TN (Stolen from SWRPG?)
Skill d for best die

Rest of the game is beautiful, and follows those.

It would be nice to see it mainstreamed... but it is in reprint (Heliograph Society), and they have reprinted everything but the boxed games and miniatures.

I voted 'homebrew'

I'll cherry-pick what I like from the otu, yet I won't be stuck with parts I don't like. Official settings don't interest me so much as non-setting-specific info about ships, vehicles and worlds.

I voted Strontium Dog since there is no official game about it. I am eagerly waiting for JD, too but I am afraid that my players are not too keen on playing that (since most of them have not read the comics and taking the role of a Judge is by far harder than playing an SD agent without prior knowledge).

Agreed!
As I've been waiting for my copy of MGT to arrive, I've been thinking of things that I would be tempted to try, and Space:1889 was one of the first that came to mind. Others being Star Trek, B5, Ringworld, the Terran Trade Authority game...
