What should she do?

A Friend of mine who doesn't use 2nd Edition cos its too easier, in her opinion, for A Group as skilled as hers asked me to ask the following questions

Her Pirates of Drinax Campaign has lasted a few weeks short of 7 real years and thanks to each characters child taking over when a character dies more then 4.14 centuries by Traveller Times. Her Drinax now controls 80% of The Trojan Reach and all 4 once separate nations, Oleb's Great-Grand-daughter/Rao The 3rd, is too proud to draw on any Regional Forces that can't be gotten very discretly, but even then The Starguard has 261 ships worth 488 Fighting Dice and 7 Capital Ships

As well as that what Ships would 1 or both of The Hierate and The Imperiums send when their avaiable ships are TL 16 at best, TL 10 at worse and TL 13 on average and The Reach's, not their Empires, Aslan and Imperial Ships range from 300 tons to 300,000 tons with a average of 79,000 tons whilst Drinax's Ships are TL 17 at best, TL 12 at worst and TL 14 on average and range from 500 tons to 370,800 tons with a average of 115,000 tons.

Yes she's even more loony then me, at least with regards to Traveller

Sorry to pop in without an answer, but if you don't mind my asking: what system does she use that isn't MGT2? And why does she think MGT2 is easier?

She uses 1st edition and has convinced the players that 2nd edition is too easy for A GM of her and her players skills, abilities and experances. But she's the oldest GM everyone I know claims to have ever known (she turns 64 25 days before I turn 35) and I honestly think she's gotten very lazy with age, she retired from her job 6 years back and the only reason she doesn't point blank refuse is cos she's far too kind for her own good and her 5 players are ranged 11 to 13 and are her 2 grandsons, her 2 god-daughters and the older of the 2 grandsons best friend

I'd have to watch every video of your game sessions for the last 7 years to even know what your group is doing, to give an answer of any sort.

Some players don't like some of the consolidated and refined MgT1 rules that are in MgT2. MgT2 removes some of the slow-down in Traveller games.

Maybe you should point her this way, so she can ask her own questions her way, and cut out the intermediary.

I though of that and mentioned it, but she can't afford it and even if she could she likely wouldn't cos at least 1 of her players is sneaky enough to prepare by looking on this and similiar sites. But I'm starting to suspect that she is unintentionally take advantage of my far kinder then most people she knowe personality

That's what I'm starting to wonder, but I like her too much as a friend and am too nice overall to question the way she's thinking, at least to her or to anyone who will tell her
