What happened to the Tantalus

Hello,

I just got my 2nd Ed Fleet Book and I'm wondering what has happened to the EA Tantalus. It's not in the book.

What has happenend to it?

it was never an offical ship, and as it is a conversion kit its not even a proper model, i hope that it'll come out in a S'n'P with 2e style stats

Actually the article for it said we can cinsider it an official ship, it just doesnt have an official model.

There is no model as such for the Tantalus, it is just a package of parts for a kit bash. Since it is not available anywhere other than the Mongoose website, it was not included in 2e.

That said, I believe there will be an update of ships featured in S&P (Tantalus, Ghosts of Omelos etc) in the future.

So is there anything in 2E that does the job of the tantalus? It was a pretty good assault ship for earth. The assault hyperion isnt near as good.

But that article predates the 2E rulebooks, and so the 2E fleet lists overrule it.

I know, I was just responding to Dizzy Vree when he said it was never official.
