What font is used in MGT book ?

When I look in the samples pdf files availlable for download I can see that the font used is "Eras ITC - Demi" .

Is the same font used in printed books like "Core Rulebook" ?

Then, have someone found a very similar free font ?

I've found that Trebuchet, packaged with MS Word and Excel, is a reasonably close fit.

Well, I found that "Tahoma" (packaged with MS Word and Excel) is closer than "Trebuchet MS".

If you could try It and compare it will be fine.

The font used in Mongoose Traveller books is Scala sans for the main text and Eras ITC - Demi for the titles.

Personally, I find Scala really hard to read at the size Mongoose use in the Traveller books - hence I buy the books and the pdfs . For Spica books (i.e. CB1) we went retro-CT and used good ol' Arial 9 point for body text with Arial Black for titles (but condensed the letter spacing).

When looking for similiar fonts, I've found http://new.myfonts.com/WhatTheFont/ to be handy. Though far from perfect, it is faster than hunting around.

It accepts an image as an example - and also has a forum (that I haven't used)
