What do people think about Raiders? Ghosts of Omelos?

I am thinking of putting together a fleet for the raiders with the Ghosts of Omelos stats in S&P 36 (I think that was the issue). I have a completely different paint scheme and a different name for the raiders but I think it would be a lot of fun to put together. The store I play at only has about four players not counting myself, so it wouldn't be an issue to play the fleet, not to mention against a strong force of ISA or Vorlons/Shadows I am toast but I don't really care so long I have some really cool painted ships on the table performing some neat things.

What do you guys think about raiders/Omelos/League ships.

It seems like any raider force (standard, Argents Crusaders or Ghosts of Omelos) will always be considered underdogs. I personally have only had success with the standard raider list (including the Armageddon addition).

Additionally you can make lots of cool conversion with Raider ships, EA ships and Dilgar ships. I'm waiting for a bits order containing an Omelos engine section so I can use it as a part of a Strike Carrier.
