WFRP Conversion UPDATE

THere seems to be a growing interest in this project. As it should be.

I am still working on it, but time dictates me to other matters at this time.

It will be a few weeks, but WELL WORTH THE WAITE...

World Specific Monsters are DONE!!!

Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay 1st edition. They have all the elements needed for MRQ including Chaos.

The world setting is called the Old World.

Although I like Glorantha, my players prefer this setting.

I GMed a 2 years long "WarhammerQuest" campaign, that is, RQ3 in the Old World. Ran pretty smoothly, so smoothly in fact that I did hardly need to make any conversion besides on the fly adapations.

There were basically two plots running through the whole campaign: the rise of the vampire counts and the storm of chaos. In the end the two plots came together and the PC were instrumental in bringing Von Carnstein to fight against the chaos hordes, while they saved Middenheim from the Skavens' plot to detonate a warpbomb under the city during the final battle.

And to think they started trying to avoid getting mugged in the backalleys of Nuln! :D

I actually managed to use a lot of RQ3 scenarios which I would never have ran otherwise, such as Dyskund's Caverns. However, my main inspiration was the Darklands computer game.

Very fond memories! :)

Cheers, Alex.

Hi,

I used to regularly convert the older WFRP scenarios out of White Dwarf to RQ, my players never noticed the change and it was easy to do. Lets face it Beastmen were always broos any way and the Old World works pretty well for the Safelster/Ralios region anyway. There was one scenario, about an inn taken over by chaos monsters that I particulary liked. BTW as many of you may know I have very well established Gloranthan credentials, don't let Greg know that I was a blasphemer!

IIRC, that was called Grapes of Wrath, it was class, and if it's the one I'm thinking of I converted it for my campaign too. Unfortunately all my old WD are up in the loft, otherwise I'd go have a look myself :D
