Just to let you all know that, unless something tragic (!) happens, we will be going live with the new web site some time tomorrow. This may cause a temporary upset with the site and forums, but be patient and try again in an hour if something odd appears.

You'll find the new system way better :)

Something tragic... in IT... you do realise that you probably just jinxed it, Matt?

A whole hour?? NOOOO!!!!!

If not, do we get our money back¿

The new web site is up and running! Release the pigeons! Well done, it looks spiffy. Now I'll see if I can break it

Looking good!!! Runs a little slow right now, but that might be either the new graphics loading (I suspect all the graphics for the products were moved location) or my net connection though...

It may be that I am not on the latest version of IE (I am at IE7) but I get a big grey bar with "© 2011 Mongoose Publishing" across the middle of the home page obscuring teh top part of the latest release, latest news, upcoming releases bit.

Any chance that can be resolved?

Some things that I used to use that can't find:

**Free downloads for any of the game lines.

**Signs and Portents

**A news page that lists what's coming next month in full. (I see the small list on the front page.)

The site is slow from here as well.

Doesn't show upcoming releases by game system (like when you went to say Traveller).

Should add an option to sort the OOP by game system.

Some of the individual products do have links to downloads like preview and errata, though not all.

Looks good overall, but it's slow. Plus, is there a page where we can see rapidly what are the upcoming publications or the ones that just came out? Also, I loved the system on the old website with a button at the top of the page for each collection. Now, I have to check in three different places to see what are the things that are coming for Lone Wolf.

This error is appearing at the top of the forum:

Warning: ob_start() [ref.outcontrol]: output handler 'ob_gzhandler' conflicts with 'zlib output compression' in /home/mongoose/phpBB2/includes/page_header.php on line 44

Spiffy new look, not a shocker change (double plus good).

As for errors, none here yet, running an antique Win XP system and older Firefox (3.6 avoiding updates for a while, paranoid, it's working fine so why 'fix' what ain't broke Wink ).

Not seeing any slowing at this time.

Some broken links...slow loading.. but I guess it will take a few days to iron out the bugs...

Nice looking site (when it works)

If the people in charge of fixing issues are following this I've just seen a post on CotI that a user tried to log in to the forums here and got a screen full of gibberish. Might be login issues to check and fix.

I haven't been logged out to check it, and probably won't to test it ;)

Shiny - Nice design

I think a larger forum link would be nice, but after hitting it a couple of times I won't have to look so hard for it. . . .Hopefully :P

[edited to correctly spell think. geez]

I'll cross post this to the lonewolf section as well.

I really dont like the new store layout.
Old store could easily find titles, click, add, buy, get, happy.
The RPGs were in the same place as the solo gamebooks.

NOW
I go to the RPGs drop down menu on the main menu banner and it takes me to the OOP Sales which does not have what I want. Thats exceptionally poor.

I did find what I wanted by using the vertical column, however all the RPGs are listed in alphabetical order or some other random order.
The problem here is, Lonewolf are not marked in any way, so "Books of Magnakai" is early in the list of 145, Stornlands is late.
If mongoose put "LW: Book of Maganaki" "LW: Stornlands" it would be a lot easier to find them.

Finally, I click the link for Stornlands and for The Darklands.
Both appear, with a price, and "In Stock".
I click add to cart and get a semi cryptic "The requested quantity for "Stornlands" is not available."

Either the book is in stock or it isnt.

Your page states it is, requesting it states it isnt.

Thats inconsistent and frustrating.

I know I'm only looking to spend 200 pounds on this order, and another 150 pounds minimum when the remaining gamebooks come out, so your choice is either fix this or lose a customer. And then lose all the other customers I mention this to.
And all the customers who get frustrated and give up.

O and I just tried to go to the checkout to purchase the books I could find, and surprise surprise, they wont ship outside the UK or the USA which means I've wasted atleast 45 minutes AND cant place my order.

Previously shipping to my country was straightforward.

What a fiasco.
