Guys, the incompetents at Mongoose still haven't updated their home page with the RQII logo. You -really- think they'll get their **** together to show off their (inevitably crap) Wayfarer one?

Presumably since they are still selling RuneQuest books, they still have the RuneQuest licence, until it expires why wouldn't they keep the runeQuest logo on their website???

But you missed Zomben's point. They changed the logo when they launched RQ2 (or added a new logo). Not that you'd notice from the website

is still the official logo for the RuneQuest line, just that the second edition books have the name in a different font and not the logo.

Given their history of updating and correcting things, why would we expect them to remove it when the licence runs out?

Because it could leave them open to potential legal action????

As for the logo, I admit I've never been confused about the use of the original Runequest logo on the main page. Apparently it sets off the OCD in some people...? Its a shame to see Mongoose get bashed for what is actually an above average, better-maintained-than-normal website for the industry. But hey, troll is troll.

Reminds me of an old post on another forum. Discussions about a Fantasy version of Traveller. Somebody did a mock-up of the box set, based on the Classic Traveller design.

For 15 quid I'd snap that up without even thinking about it. 20 quid and I'd think about it for a little while.

For me, this sort of format, boxed or not, is the way to go with RPGs. Keep them cheap and put them on the shelf with the novels that inspire them. Just need to get the content right...

I'd agree with that. I also think "Wanderer" is actually a better name than "Wayfarer".

I want to buy this as well
