[WAW] Tourney's

Are there any competitions comming up or in planning at all for WAW?
What format would they take? What would you like?
1) Bring both axis & allies armies, or just 1 with possible blue on blue games?
2) What scale? 28mm or 20mm or both, would they be mixed with possible 28mm V 20mm games?
3) What size armies would be a good size to use?

Personally I'd like:
1) Bring an army of each, don't like the idea of a WW2 civil war.
2) 28mm for me
3) Not sure about army size, maybe 1500pts?

What do you's think? and obviously Mongoose input much appreciated.

If you want our input. . .

1. I would not force people to bring two armies - they may only have one!

2. The rules will work with a mix of scales, though I would be tempted to keep it in the 20-28mm range.

3. All depends on time! 1500-2000 is about right.

A nice idea from the Evil Empire (i.e Games Workshop) and their LotR game is to have each participant bring a good and an evil army. Matches are actually two battles, where you play each of your armies against the opponents different armies. Total points is for BOTH the armies, meaning that you could have, say 1450 points in one army and 1550 points in the other if the limit was 3000 points. If you unbalance too much you WILL get pasted in half the battles, but makes for some varied armies and combos.

Of course, since Evil Empire sells the miniatures too, having two armies is not enough :twisted:

id be doing 20mm as im not a miliionair lol.

reminds me must glue some russians to bases and throw pots of paint at them.. or buy some brushes !!!!
