Now maybe it's just me but apart from the White Star aren't we missing any Minbari vessels?

Seriously, shouldn't the Minbari Cruiser be on the list? I KNOW you have to limit the number of big ships, but surely there could be at least ONE?

I don't know what ships other peole are likely to use in the game, but c'mon, how can you miss out one of the big 4 completely. IMO the WS doesn't count.

(Yes I have got pretty much the same thread in the Trav & B5 areas, if I had mod powers in both I'd mirror it to save space but I don't so there :lol: )
 
No Sharlin?

Wow. The period I was looking at for a B5T game was going to be Earth-Minbari War. I'm not sure how much the fleets would have been a part of that game, but I guess I'll have to roll my own if I want it. Does seem like a big omission to me, but not I guess if you're more "Season 4" than "In the Beginning".
 
I agree, the omission of the Sharlin - one of the iconic vessels of B5 - is a biggie. To exclude one of the major races completely is a huge omission. I'd've thought at least to include the Sharlin and the Tinashi. The WhiteStar is a Ranger ship, not Minbari. Where's the Warrior class going to be while the religious folks are off flying those? Can't touch on the Minbari civil war then?

Wonder where the smaller vessels will go? The only small ship I can see is the Centauri Sentri. Where's the Frazi to fight it? Or the shuttles (Centauri Shuttle, EA Shuttle, Minbari Flyer)? Or the Starfury!?

I know it says "Warships of B5", but where are the freighters and raider fighter (Delta-V)?

Are the smaller and civilian ships in the "Universe of B5" book I wonder?

That's a somewhat enigmatic answer. What sort of ships are people most likely to use in the game (or what ships does he think people would use?)?

And yeah, another vote for adding the Sharlin. It's THE Minbari ship that most people familar with the show think of after all.
 
how strange - I would have thought a Sharlin was farily essential ?

Campaigns in EM war period
Shadow War period
ISA period - especially since the Rangers base (if people want to be Rangers) is a modified Sharlin?

I can see stats for Shadow Ships and Fighters as well as Vorlon but deck plans probbaly not needed?
 
It's been a long time since I watch B5 - but isn't that list missing the Starfury and the Thunderbolt too ? Surely those are the truly iconic B5 ships.
 
I am hoping that we will see a few ships in the first book to be released in February.
 
Actually LBH looking a the list -there is a Minbari ship - the Torotha (patrol craft / planetary assault ship)

I am guessing this is a draft list - as the "Drakh" ship is a bit nebulous - presumably Drakh raider but a Mothership could be a good setting for a scenario?

Darkner is an odd choice..............as is having both the Demos and the Vorchan (surely the former as a varent could be dealt with together)

Scout vessels would I feel be a likely candiate for player encounters / usage - so would have expected the Corvan, Orcale, Delphi, Narn, Abbai, Brakiri and Drazi Scout ships plus the Drazi Warbird

As stated it seems likely there will be (civilian/Raider) ships in the core rulebook but if not there are some very strange omissions?

I think this is the missing part of the discussion. Without knowing what ships will be in the Sourcebook, we can't judge this list fairly. Maybe the Minbari ship is in the first book, so doesn't need to be in the Warships book?

I would expect the shuttles and the Starfuries to be in the sourcebook.

OK there is a Torotha, but there SHOULD be a Sharlin, c'mon.

Oh and Da Boss, re it being a draft list, notice the use of the word 'locked' in the Planet Mongoose post.

Given the context of the original quote, that doesn't sound promising ;).
(wasn't it "the pebbles can't vote when the avalanche has begun" or something? )
 
Not so, the original quote is "The avalanche has begun, it is too late for the pebbles to vote"

That would signify it is too late, the fact that the pebbles are still voting is a better sign.

But in Matt's defence he only started talking about rock movement after I accussed him of hanging out with the Vorlon after the "All will be revealed" answer.

oh dear, lets hope the Sharlin appears in the first book then (or its easy to make up?
