Wanted:

Shadow Queen said:
2 or more Chronos ships

will swop for 2 oversized Ranger Frigates and bases

I will probably have more than I will ever field when I get my Order.

Psi Corps box set x3 (which includes 2 Chronos per box)

Not sure a Ranger Frigate would be any good to me at all though.

Got anything else?

hmm, I could maybe do with an Explorer just for some kind of completenes. I have 10 chronos, 6 of which are unpainted

mmmmmmm I always liked the look of the Explorer even though it is rubbish. I'll think about it my orders yet to arrive.

I don't know about that, it has its uses. Say you want to open a jumppoint on turn 2 or 3 and have your ships come out shooting, it's a heck of a lot easier to keep an explorer alive, than a oricale. And if your opponant does go mad, and put enough firepower into the explorer to kill it before your ships jump in, thats a lot of firepower he isn't shooting at your more combat worthy ships.

mmmmmmm I never thought about it as a "tank" before thanks for the idea. Wish I'd ordered one now.....

And if you want to be more devious you can use it as bait. So if your opponant does go after it, his ships will be out of position, and vunerable to counterattack by either your on table ships, or the ships in hyperspace.

Or you can try to set up a nice little catch 22 for your opponant. Come and try to get the explorer, and get flank attacked by my on table ships. And if you don't kill it fast enough my ships in hyperspace will be on your case as well. Or ignore the explorer, and have my ships in hyperspace come steaming in behind you with guns blazing, while your all tangled up with the on table ships.

Actually, this could be done with most scouts. But explorers take a bit more to kill.

Well my fleet is Corps but are next campaign is going to be 10 War points base fleet and then you have to deligate whats defending and attack in that campaign turn.

That sounds cool. We tryed something like that, were at the start of each campaign turn you would secretly write what you were doing, and what ships you were doing it with. Eg ship 1,2,3 will attack that target, while ship 4,!,5 stay there and guard that. It lead to some good fights, and some pretty funny mis-matches. It is quite cool trying to guess what people are going to do in a turn.
