Waiting for shadizar

A lot of the 'blame' can rest at my door, guys. We had the opportunity to make the box a touch bigger so that you can put 'extras' in there like character sheets and stuff. We knew from measurements that it would still fit on most regular shelves.

The idea is that the GM can put all his bits and bobs in the box as well instead of having to carry round another folder or a load of papers. Being as there was no extra cost involved I thought you might like it. :)

No blame nor whining, I just do'nt want to spend a whole day sorting out (again) my whole games and books to make them fit in my shelves. As I don't have the boxed set yet, GhostWolf prepared the ground for me.

BTW if you do such big boxes, why wouldn't you publish several scenario books (32 to 64 pages) set up in Shadizar? So we could fill in the box with inherent stuff.

Who says we won't?

I appreciate we have a reputation for taking a long time to do things, so you'll just have to be patient... :?
This is a virtue I possess. :D But I would like to know the line you have in mind for Conan the RPG.

I've already put my soft cover ancient text "Lankhmar: City of Adventures" in the extra box space storage.

Not sure who is old enough to remember but one thing I will be implimenting for zamora from that old book is the pamphlet of customizable city street maps it came with. Hard to describe if you've never seen it, but the pamphlet book had many blank graphs of city intersections the dm could customize and mark down encounters, stores, guard patrols, etc for a given location (merchant quarter, wharf, etc).

This sourcebook for Lankhmar was excellent, probably one of the best city description. The adventures of this series (ADD2) were quite good too though somewhat short.

I forgot all about those old Lankhmar AD&D modules. I guess I will have to dust mine off and use them for my own Conan campaign.

Thanks for bringing these up. Even though they are not canon, Fafhrd & the Gray Mouser would make interesting characters to through into a campaign.

Yeah,
One of my all time favorite gamings books. I ran Lankmar in a variety of system over the years. If I ever do so again, I'll have to use Conan!

That is such an awesome idea I'm ashamed I didn't think of it first...
I'll amek you a deal Mongoose, if you can fill this box with Shadizar adventures like this I won't even complain about the box size ever again... unless ofcourse you make too manny and they won't fit... :P

all right mister :P

I picked up the box last night @ my FLGS.

I skimmed 2 of the books. I have to say that I am thrilled about the purchase! I did not indend to buy any of the other "location" boxed sets Mongoose has in the line, but if they are the same quality as Shadizar, I won't be able to resist!

Thanks for the great support of the line Mongoose. I've picked up every book you have publised for Conan. And I have enjoyed every one. Keep it up!
