Mongoose
WOW. I have to start this topic off with WOW. Now I have to give you all a little background on me. I started wargaming in 91' with a box of Boyz and Ere We Go. Since then Ive played, 40K, Epic, Warmaster, WHFB, Gorka Morka, Flintloque, Noble Armada (1st, 2nd and ACTA) and Star Fleet:ACTA (those are the ones I can remember off the top of my head). Now I remember when the Warhounds were just coming out with Forge World. Heck I remember buying White Dwarf like 140ish off the shelf. Ive also have the pleasure of owning a game store for 2 1/2 years. Now with all that said, Mongoose Publishing has made one of the most incredible, intelligently designed and durable miniature in the Slatra Konung. This guy is part resin part pewter and amazing. First I must say the model is incredible and very very close to the original design by Holistic Design (here is a link that shows the original stuff http://www.angelfire.com/nj/eglamkowski/na.html ) Second my model fit together with very little adjustments, heck 2 pieces (part of the nose section) snapped together like a plastic snap model. And third and most important is that the seams between the resin and metal are part of the design. Forth is that, IMHO, the dissimilar materials help glue it together so far for me. My super glue has hardened quicker than most of my other models I've glued together. So my hats off to Mongoose, thank you for making such a great mini.
