Vorlons with Wings open

Does anyone have any examples/advice on how to paint the inside/underside of the Vorlon wings/petals?

I painted my vorlons black, then edged the wings red and highlighted the stand out parts red, so the front looks very striking took about 20mins for 10.

To mimic the effect of the transports you see in the show you either need to basecoat black and speckle with blue, or basecoat blue and speckle with black. I still haven't decided which way works best.

I then asked how Iain painted the insides of the petals:

Just did the splatter effect as with the rest of the ship and then used a cut down brush to dot larger irregular patches of black paint (originally altered that brush for WW2 German aircraft fusilage mottling, which is fairly similar in style).
