I have got my VPK from AOG (juhuuuuu) and have painted it.

hope your like it.... 8)

Where did you order it from? The AOG web site says they went out of business several years ago.

Cheers, Gary

PS. Looks nice, BTW... :-)

It is relativ small, I must say....

You see the radius of the large flight stand... his hull has nearly the same size.
But this is irrelevant for me...I want to have this mini, simply.
Hope we see some official stats in the future...(hope this, hope this, hope this,...)

ähmmm..no. not really. they are "really" active.
And this is nice after the end of the mini production.

Cool skin, how did you do it? Toothbrush?

It would have been cooler if it were a bit bigger, though... I was going for it but since i saw the pic on ebay, well :(

BTW, cool Borg smileys on your sig, Urobach

It's a cool mini; I've got one, but Urobach's paint job is a couple of orders of magnitude better than mine.

Mind you, if it was to scale you'd need a very big playing surface.

Been watching some of season 4 today.
If those ships around the planet killer in hyperspace are light cruisers its bloody HUGE.
If they're Heavy crusisers.....My oh my but it's REALLY BLOODY HUGE

I have used the "finger and spray brush" methode.

have loaded an large, hard brush with tinned down grey and used my finger on the brush to "spray the paint on the ship. from some distance....someone on this forum have used the same method on his vorlon ships, a while ago...

have found this "assimilate smiley" on an other forum....really funny 8)

the VPK is ~3 inches in length, for all who want to know the size.

@funbeast: the VPK IS huge. has nearly the size of an small moon.
I don´t know the exactly size but i think over hundred kilometers....HUGE,so  I you want it in scale to your heavy cruiser you must calculate it in the size of an small car, i think.

Again a case of the CG people going a little over the top. The canon (and JMS confirmed) size of the PK is about 5km/3-4miles as is quoted in the script. The VHCs are about 1mile/1-2km in length. Just take the CG shots with a pinch of salt.

I like the paint job, It matches the scale of the mini. If you made a scale planet killer it would probably be big enough to play on.

5km/3-4miles??? ONLY!!! That can´t be correct. It is definitly larger, a lot of larger. 50 kilometers would be better.... and this is canon??? No, I don´t believe this. I have watched the episodes several times and an VHC is only an tiny little fighter in comparsion to the Planet-Killer. Or???

hah!!! have found something. try http://www.merzo.net/
Starship Dimensions. It lists the VPK as 45 kilometers in lenght. Ok....it says it is not definitly correct but this is an better size for such an ship.

Also remember that not everything JMS says even goes along with what JMS says...

It is the nature of having such a large license.

People did specifically ask him in the early bulletin board days and he said that the CG was the part that was incorrect, not the script. Sure, by on screen visuals the PK is bigger but Marcus was amazed that they had some ships 3-4 miles across!

That's almost the size of B5! Particularly in a ship with a solid design rather than like an Explorer, VHC or Victory where there is not a huge amount of actual "structure". It's like building an entire city in space.
