Vorchan Damage

My guess is that your box set is probably not revised edition. In my revised edition, the Haven stats match at Hull 5, Damage 15/5, Crew 20/6.

Yes, that does sound too low -- and the ship has been universally identified as needing some help.

There is a temporal componenet to that Burger, a Rulesmaster ruling that is made before a released supplement counteracts it is made null and void unless reruled.

But basically, the most recent book is the correct one.

It would be nice if the vorchan was a little bit harder to kill. It is one of the iconic B5 ships, and mine always seem to go pop. I'm not kidding, I never seem to have any left at the end of a battle, regardless of whether I win or loose.

The Vorchan was quite hard in the old boxed set - 20 damage and 10 TA AD IIRC - and then was toned down, possibly a bit too much, in SFoS.

I'd like Mongoose to re-issue the Fleet Action scale mini of the Vorchan as the Vorchan itself as a 'pack hunting' LCV similar to the Myrmidon at Patrol PL, and keep the current 'Full Scale' model as the Demos, representing a much larger and more powerful ship at Raid PL.

sounds like its another area that the vorchan and white star are similar

It seems to me that the vorchan was a meaner ship onscreen than it is in the game. After all in series 5 they beat the tar out of a whitestar. (actually, this might not be a good example, as I've never played against an IA fleet)

though they did outnumber the WS 4 to 1 iirc

Can't argue with that, I've had time to watch the episode since my last post. But I still think they need beefing up a bit. Not so much weapon wise, just in surviveablity. I tend to play a lot of small (4 point skirmish) games at the local club with people who have never played, and I try to use ships that were seen on the show. It gives people the wrong impression of the centauri when the vorchans on the table pop.
