heres the link to the latest mod with the new league ships from S&P in it. theres no soulhunter in but do people want it added?
also more excellant counters by sulfurdown (including his liati).
and the commands can now be clicked by mouse for making a ship do the fixed 45 and 90 degree turns, just look for fixed turns when right clicking on a ship.

Started fooling with the new version today and came across a major problem. While the new 45/90 degree fized turns are great (YAY!!), there seem to be NO rotate command anymore. Thus the only turns that I can do in the current version are 45 and 90.

Did something get left out or a I just not finding the rotate command anymore?
 
Click a ship, on the command menu, you will see Reset , it should say Rotate :D
So iits still there, just wrongly named. :)

Ok found a bug. Fighter movement trails can't be removed.
 
Ah, reset=rotate. Good. The fighter movement trails a leftover from a previous version I believe, been that way since 2.6 AFAIK

I'll take a look at it tonight, see if its fixable :)

Yes its fixed. Just took a minute. :)
Hmm not having any luck with changing Reset to Rotate on the ship command menu though :)

haven't used Vassal for ages, but seriously ready to have a look again, if only I can get the other campaign players to use it, I may never leave the house again!
 
Just a small thing: S&P says the Brakiri Shakara is Skirmish, Vassal says it´s patrol - is Vassal wrong, or has the level of the Shakara been corrected?
 
An idea for Vassal ACTA after 2E arrives.
Each ship could be given a Weapons Range Radius for each weapons system, similar to the Explosion Area raidus shading option.
The Weapon's Systems , per ship could be given different shading raidius,with longest range systems a lighter shade moving to darker for medium and short.

Using this idea means u just have to move a ship, then turn on the Weapons System Range shading, to find ships in range of each wpn system.
Instead of having to measure for each enemy ship individually.
This option would be off on default (like Explosion Radius) but available under each ship command menu to activate.
The downside is that this would take alot of work to do, since each ship class would have to be modified individually.
 
if it were possible sure. i play on a battletech java based program called megamek (and mekwars) and with this you basiclaly choose your targets, what weapons you are firing then all dice are rolled, damage recorded and effects played out. if this could be done for ACTA-vassal it would be cool and speed things up considerably
