Designing a stealth SDB I saw an option 'Variable Emission Drive'.

Anyone know where I find this?

Just for a change it is hidden away in an adventure where it was made up by the author rather than using the tools already available in the HG2022 book.

The Riverland - page 127.

The author could have used the adjustable hull option in HG2022 - page 43.

"Other identification features such as the pattern of reactor and drive emissions can likewise be adjusted to enhance the deception."

But instead we got a brand new system not detailed anywhere else.

Okay. So this is like 2 x Low Emission modifier from Flashpoints... Except it works at Medium Range, is crazy expensive and allows spoofing.

Maneuver Drive is not a Purely gravitational based drive, it does have an energy signature.

Unless, ions, electrons, or gravitons.

It's far easier to detect EM radiation than gravity. Given that M-Drives are supposed to need big glowing thrust plates, it's probably mostly those.

Sounds like these "thrust plates" are the heat radiators.
