Use current END DM for medical care?

In the rules for medical care, a patient restores 2 + END DM + doctor's skill per day. Does this use the uninjured END DM or the current END?

Good question.

My belief is that it's the modified END (so likely negative to start with).
That's the basis of my request to increase the +2 to a +3.

If you are able to use your uninjured END modifier for anything, then it is assumed that nothing is wrong with your END characteristic.
