*update* my fleet, 2/3rd painted (picture heavy)

Well, progress has been very very slow as I have been busy painting `another game of landbased ww2 warfare` but some more ships have left Taranto

The 3rd Littorio class is currently in the varnish line with some light and medium Condottieri cruisers, and the necessary airplanes. When Roma is done (not counting the not finished Impero) the fleet from the VaS book will be done at scale 1:1 (including the 12 navigatori, 16 Adua`s) and its off to rounding the `not in the book ships` like Romani`s, Cavours and more Condottieri`s.

Oh, vessels are 1/2400 GHQ and 1/600 Thumbling Dice airplanes.

Very nice job, and looking at those ships reminded me that I needed a haircut .

I was going to say how, until my slow connection put the stripes in front of my eyes

But yes a very nicely done fleet

And I wasn't just kidding, as I indeed do need a haircut. Yes, they are nicely done ships.

Thanks for the comments, managed to finish a few more boats past night (one day i promise I will try out that `daylight thingie` and see what that is all about hehe)

The 3rd Littorio, Roma, escorted by the Condottieri light cruisers Luigi Cadorna (front) and Giuseppe Garibaldi (back) of respectively the 2nd and 5th group of this class

Very nice job painting this fleet, i'm planning to start one myself in the next few months :)

Basically, because it are standard size metal plates sold at my local club, and there only use anyways is to transport them in cases inlaid with magnetic foil and carry the ships name.

Magnetic bases - excellen! They have saved my AOS and Full Thrust models from a fate worse than death on several occasions!

Actually, the base is plain metal, but the foil in the case is magnetic. I found out years ago the hard way that when reversin this (the magnet on the model and into a metal case) the models seemed to `pick up` a lot more dirt and dust causing the magnetic `field` to break overtime.
