Upcoming Runequest releases, which is most anticipated?

I'm interested in Monsters II and the Spellbook. If I knew what was in the Deluxe book, I might be interested in it.

I have ZERO interest in the Glorantha books. I REALLY wish the Runequest rules were not tied so closely to it.

Ditto! I too love Runequest but have never been interested in Glorantha...the setting just holds little appeal to me.

I'm really keen on the RQ Deluxe edition....I can pass off the older tomes to my players for use, and have the mega-book all to myself, heh!

Very keen on the Spellbook, GM's Guide, Pirates and Ninja books too...

Monster II and Spellbook look D&Dish to me

As the gent who is penning/has penned both of these, I'll address your comment as best I can.

They might look D&Dish to you, but as that MANY of our fans have commented to us that they want more monsters and spells for their games to use...it is the voice of the masses that speak loudly here.

And, I know this may be a can of worms to open, but the Monster Manual series for WOTC has been a huge success for them. Everybody wants new critters to pick and choose from; the same can be said for spells. If these products look "D&Dish", I can only hope that they sell as well as those books they are being compared to.

Marketing or designing something along the same lines as the industry's single largest roleplaying success is not a bad thing - so long as we don't lose the RuneQuest feel. I would agree with you utterly if we ignored the Gloranthan creature feel and just mimicked the D&D books...but I promise you I am not. In fact, Greg Stafford and I have traded several emails over the last two weeks - most of which have been concerning terms and such for the Gloranthan critters in MII.

Have faith folks, I would never want to let you down on these.

Cheers all,
Bry
