Unique Ships

Well the other way of lookingat it would course havei been that the Narn ship should have been something less tough than a G'Quan...

Plus the possibility of a one hit kill may exist in the show, I mean the only reason it doesn't in the game is that it annoys players...

Plus I always thought that Vorchans were underpowered in every game representation compared to their in show capabilities. Not much perhaps, but you do see a lot less Vorchan's than Primuses blowing up (in fact just about every Primus in the show that actually engages an enemy is destroyed...)

yeah, the g'quan attacked by the secundus outside B5 didnt look very damage from outside, but we all knew it was cos they said it was.
although to lose to B5 (was it pre refit?) and a damage g'quan that cant even fire its beam is poor going, perhaps the secundus was damaged.

Bloody ret-con, again! I hate it!

1) The G'Quan may have been badly damaged already.

well if it was damaged it probably would not be being used for a mission, it would be more likely being repaired

That is anything but true. In wartime, there is no guarantee that you can take a ship off line to perform significant repairs. Case in point again, USS Yorktown. She was sent into battle without complete repair because there wasn't enough time to perform the repairs she needed. US navy repair crews performed heroic repairs to get her back into service in time to fight at Midway.

HMS Illustrious fought the closing years of WWII with a warped hull that caused such problems the British had to remove a propeller, because they didn't have the time to repair her.

HMS Warspite fought the closing years of the war with 1 intact propeller out of 4 because the the British couldn't spare the time and resources to fix her either during the war.

History is full of episodes like this. With a war raging, you often do not have time to remove a damaged ship for complete repairs.

i would think the problems is that you can't do the things from
the show in the game, cause it would be more annoying the
players than fun.

i.e. Show: Fighters always taking out engines/weapons in a few shots.
Game: you must have many fighters or you lose

i.e. Show: Spectacular shots regulartly ripping apart ships
Game: if you roll a 6 on one D6 you instant kill your target, do
we want this ?

The problem with the vorchan is simple:
to be as effectiva as in the show it should be raid with upped weapons,
and then variants build from them. It simply started a priority too low
to be as in the show.
(i like the vorchan as is btw and use other ships in large battles)

All true but the war that was going on was between the Humans and the Minbari. Why would a Narn ship be damaged in a war they had no part in?

maybe it had been fighting with raiders very heavily for a while, but was nearest ship to take sheridan? Only ship that could get there in time, dont forget the meeting needed to happen as soon as possible, so the narest ship would be used so long as it could still move!

They bulit it to Narn Specifications and used their armour - which as we all know is explosive? :D

It was more likely carrying a cargo of explosives to sell to the Narn as armor. :)
