As the Travellers journey through the cities and wilds of worlds they visit, they will encounter both men and beasts.

Probably Should be humans, aliens and beasts

However given the Science Fiction nature of the game.. and to avoid some peoples sense
of outrage over gender/species exclusivity...

I would suggest these alternatives...
* sapients and beasts
* sapients and non-sapients
* humans, vicious bloodthirsty carnivorous sapient predators, versus marginalized and exploited individuals of non-human origin and exploited, terrified and abused little herbivore aliens who were innocently eating their vegetarian food and frolicking as nature intended until hunted by the cruel carnivorous humans and/or other cruel barbarian sapient predators(PETA and K-Kree acceptable version)
* ungentle sapients and beasts

Men and beasts sounds about right, since they are the ones that do the fighting. Otherwise, just replace it with "they will encounter anything".

Actually a more scientific sounding version would be
Sapients, Fauna, and flora.
