Type R Sub. Merchant Deckplans

Ok, after discovering errors with the Type R deckplan in my book, and downloading the corrected plans from the website, I am still finding a couple of issues with the Type R's deckplans. Wondering what solutions others have come up for them - ultimately, I'll do what I want, of course, but wondering what others have done. I'm drawing up a set of deckplans at 1"=5' scale and mounting them to foamcore, since this is the ship type my players chose.

Issue #1: Escape pods. Stat block says there is one per stateroom, or 13 total. Deckplan only shows 12 - 2 off the bridge, 8 in the common areas and 2 down in the cargo bay. Where are most people putting the missing 13th one? Right next to the lift in the cargo bay looks reasonable to me.

Issue #2: Hardpoints. Stat block shows 3 hardpoints, deckplan only shows two turrets. Where is the best place for the 3rd hardpoint?

Issue #3: Ship's launch. In CT the Type R has a custom ship's launch that piggy backs on the ship. The original deckplans in my MgT book I was looking at had a seperate set of deckplans for the launch, but the updated ones don't. A standard launch won't piggyback on the new type R - so therefore either the Type R again has a custom launch that piggy backs for which I'll have to draw my own deckplan, or the launch is intended to be internal but not shown - anyone know which it's supposed to be?

I usually put an escape pod in Engineering, but your location works too.

I am a big fan of balance (3D) in ship designs, you I usually try to find a place that would make the turrets symmetrical around the ship (cover any missing angles etc). I always designate the Hardpoint locations on any design, even if there are no turrets, since the interior layout should reflect access to that space somehow.

I don't have the layout in front of me, but as I remember, there is no real good place to put the hardpoint on this design. At the top or bottom of the ship usually causes the least amount of redesign.

Given the high-forward position of the two visible turrets, a good balanced spot would be in the tailgun position as an un-manned turret.
