Tumbling dice vapour trails aircraft range

Mongoose
1/600 scale, and I was very impressed with the ones I saw at the Mongoose tournament.

However there are some things missing:

Are there any more complete 1/600 scale aircraft ranges?

For the French dive bomber which looks like a Stuka and got mistaken for a Stuka a lot, can you just use a Stuka?

Pretty much everything except that and spotter planes in the basic book is covered, but I'm now wondering what aircraft to get to go with my Italians and whether to get Gladiators and Albacores.

Does anyone know if alternate air wings will be in the supplement and whether medium and heavy bombers, like the B-25 and Wellington will be covered in the book?

The CANT 5601(ish) is a Itailian float plane in this range. It still begs the question of sourcing the Re2001 etc which was to of formed the basis of the Itailian equivilent of the Fleet Air Arm.

Have a look in the VAS section in the Gallery at my Italian fleet (been used for playtesting with one of the playtesters- will give you a hint about Italians anyway)

Tumbling Dice do the following Itaian aircraft £1.60 per pack

ITALIAN
ISA461 FIAT CR32 x4
ISA462 FIAT CR42 x4
ISA463 MACCI 200 x6
ISA464 MERIDIONALI RO43 x4
ISA464a (LANDED+SCENIC BASE). x3
ISA465 FIAT BR20 x3
ISA468 CANT Z506B x2
ISA471 MACCI 202 x6
ISA472 SAVOIA MARCHETTI

The Macci 200 was one of the most common fighters, these are what my aircraft are, I also have some Fiat CR42 - Biplane fighters for early war, and of course loads off Savoia Marchetti's to bomb Malta and take out those Convoys. The Re2001 is not listed, but looks familar to the MAcci 202 and in this scale you could use that, the Re2001 were the aircraft that were to go on the Aquila aircraft carrier

Hope this helps

hi ostmann!
is there a website for the tumbling dice planes?
theres;
http://www.wargames.co.uk/Traders/TumblingDice/MSPs.htm
but that is obviously out of date.
i spoke to the bloke who owns the company at cavalier last year and he is aware of the need for a better web presence but lacks computing sskills.

Magister Milituim do a range of 1200 scale ww2 aircraft which i am planning to use one model per filght for.

fairly cheap to and they also do stands aswell

I like the scale, but it is not as large as I would like. Are there any other providers of 1/600 scale aircraft? 1/300 is a bit big and expensive for the number I need.

One of my fellow club members uses 1/300th scale minis, these are slightly more expensive, NAvwar do the heroic and ross range in 1/300th
http://www.navwar.co.uk/nav/default.asp but I prefer the 1/600th scale tumbling dice with the Navwar ships, as gives a good idea of the plane being nearer, thus flying higher.

It is all down to personal taste

My friend prefers 1/300th scale aircraft with navwar ships, whilist I prefer the 1/600 scale with Navwar as gives good impression on height

Sorry wishy washy answer, but it is your own personal taste.

Yup, I've ordered 6 aircraft and 5 sheets of decals. This gives me air wings for British, French , German, Italian and Spanish Republican/Nationalist.
I've also ordered the battle of Taranto set, early and late war German fleets, the early war French fleet and a bunch of singles and civilian ships from Navwar.

I'l probably still be painting this time next year.
