Trollball Rules?

Does anyone know the rules for Trollball? I know they're detailed in Trollpak, but I don't have a copy. It's it just an Uz version of US football with clubs? Any details would help.

I guess you could use standard attack rolls, and dodge and dodge and parry. Probably some unarmed and throw/catch rolls, when they really want to get the ball...

Be creative...

I have the rules somewhere.

The 'ball' is a trollkin, and it runs for its life. If the ball gets 'burst' it makes a hell of a mess and you need to grab another from the quivering, huddled mass.

From the rules:

The object of the game is to move the live portion of a trollkin across the goal line. This is called 'scoring a point'. The team which has more points at the end of an agreed time period is the winner; if time has run out, the first team to score wins.

Two giants generally act as referees, and are paid handsomely in food afterwards. In a game they must kick (literally) off the field any troll who breaks the rules.

From my memory-vault:

"Only the living portion of the 'ball' counts for scoring purposes, although deteached non-living portions can be used as weapons or snacks."

I don't have my Trollpak or Wyrms Footnotes 7 (or 8. where I think it originally was printed).

iirc, The pitch is roughly rectangular with two triangles (the keeper's area) at either end around the scoring area. I'm not sure metal armour is allowed, but leather certainly is. The "ball" is a live trollkin, replaced if it dies, at the refs are, indeed, two giants who kick offenders off the pitch (one kick - but that hurts!).

No healing is allowed _on_ the pitch, but teammates can carry the injured to the side line to receive healing.

I think there were between 5 - 7 trolls to a team. When we played it it never looked like US football, more like a mix between soccer and netball...

Ranges for throwing trollkin - can't remember. Perhaps STR-SIZm. Not sure how far a trollkin can be kicked, either.
