Trial of Blood Blog

At the height of King Conan’s reign, when he and his queen had blessed the world with a son and the kingdoms of Hyboria were separated by thin lines of tension and borders that were fragile as glass, there existed a prophecy. The prophecy spoke of the Blood of Atlantis, the true blood of the rulers of the world, which would flow in the veins of a young girl, who would give the fallen continent of Atlantis an heir – an heir that would unseat all the kings of men.

King Conan’s enemies had begun gathering all of the girls who match the prophecy, preparing the one to bear the child that would call up the forces of Atlantis to sack Tarantia and end Conan’s reign once and for all.

Trial of Blood is the first mega-campaign for the Conan Roleplaying Game Second Edition, placing a group of young adventurers in the path of prophecy and potentially disastrous events that could change Hyboria forever. Taking the characters from their roots as young men and women and hurling them through a series of linked scenarios that will pit them ultimately against the fate of Hyboria itself.

Can your group of unlikely heroes possibly change the verdict of the Trial of Blood and save King Conan?

Great cover!

so, when can we expect to see this in stores?
End of the month, beginning of May if I remember. Strom has the correct answer as he received it directly from Matt (somewhere on this forum)

I'm looking forward to reviewing this one on Mythyc. By the time our Beta goes live in June, we should have the review of Conan 2nd Ed. done and the video up for viewing.

It was first scheduled for the end of April then it has be postponed back (again) to July. By this month (as well as August) isn't good for releases almost everyone is on holiday, at least in Europe.

So if it doesn't appears then, my guess is for September.

its in the "this month's releases" but with the history of this product i'm not jumping just yet,
hope it gets states side soon

I will finish with it in two weeks, at most. Give another week for checks by various people and make any amendments. Then off to printers and a couple of weeks later it should start appearing on shelves...

This is giving pretty much the MAXIMUM times. It is a hefty book but I can see my work taking 3-4 days less than stated if all goes swimmingly (I have already done a fair chunk of this previously before other projects got bumped up the pecking order), and the checking process can, on occassion, be reduced by almost as much. So it may be a available a week (or more) sooner than the above times would indicate.

Hope this helps.
