Traveller tech stuck in the 70's?

Unfortunately, only a fool would play the game himself. You'd best hire a CRPA (Certified Role Playing Accountant) to run your campaign or you can almost guarantee it's going to get audited. The good news is he'll also make sure you get all your Border Sector/Enterprize Zone tax credits.

Excellent point Travellingdave - reminds me to point out that BattleDress has been replaced with Shredding skill and all forms of Gun Combat with Audit and its various cascade skills. Oh, and specialization cascades have been redefined as certification selections. :D

No, they will ask for MORE detail, in triplicate, and on their desks by Friday.

Oh My God...what have I done?!

My comment originated a thread derail. :D

You are just doing your Vargr thing and causing trouble.

Now sign these forms here, in triplicate and have them notorized and sent back before the next time.

In Accountants in Space, Vargr are officially troubleshooters - they eat paper, which gives them natural Shredder skill. :)

I think we'll just ignore what the Aslan do with the paper, then...

Oh no, not an audit by the Imperial Revenue Service!

Oh yeah! And they are demanding to see all records for the last 3 Imperiums! :o

You've heard the story about the Gatekeeper at the Dynasty (Main) Gate in Beijing at the time of the 1911 Revolution, have you not?

Revolution = New Dynasty - Better Take Down Old Dynasy's Name Plaque.

However, Gatekeeper is somewhat unsure how long new Dynasty = Republic will last.

Decides to Hedge Bets. Gets strong sons to heave Old Dynasty Plaque up under Eaves of Gate.

"Hey, Dad! There's something here already!" shouts Strong Son #1

(You can see where this is leading, eh 8) )

Haul down Dust Shrouded Object. Clean Off.

Plaque = Name of Previous Dynasty -1.

It is not outside the realms of possibility that the Imperial Revenue Service could hit you for taxes your ancestors owed on the Ancestral Estate way back in the ROM under such conditions

That's just the story the latest dynasty wanted you to know :D

Nah, from one of my textbooks on Chinese History from my Uni Days in the early 1970's ... noted as possibly apocryphal even so

So all those guys in the shiny white uniforms in Star Wars were actually Imperial Auditors? ZOMG! It makes perfect sense why the Death Star vaporized Alderaan! They were tax scofflaws!

Well, there was no proof that a planet existed there - so they had to set the records straight...
