I've looked at it and it is, I believe, a welcome gesture by Mongoose towards newbie players.

I really like it from a marketing perspective, but let's not get carried away. It's a savings of $1. Death Station and Stranded are already free and the Explorer's Edition is $1

On the other hand, this is much easier to find and recognized than those three things separately.
