I was browsing at the Alliance distributors site and came across this...

MGP 3809 Traveller RPG Pocket Edition $19.95

Hmmm, what could this contain...?

Details! :)

A $20 book would be a lot gentler on the pocket books of my cash-poor group. So far no one besides me has the book.

Good idea! :)

Perfect book for the players... once we know what it contains... ;)

Assuming that this is a real product (and I have no reason to believe it isn't), this is a great decision. And the "little black book" moniker should be used as a selling point :)

It'll be easier to pass around the table without knocking over somebody's drink, too. Particularly when it's being passed open to a specific page with someone's finger stuck in it.

Posessors of stiff, wrinkly character sheets and stained books will rejoice at its arrival. :D

About the same size as your other pocket books...?

What size was that... 6 x 9 or smaller?
...guess it would get kinda fat then ;)

It would have to have seriously stripped down content to get all of the TMB into one pocket sized book....

...unless you intend to produce <*gasp!*> ...

...three books to cover everything in the TMB??!!

If its going to be a Pocket PLAYER'S Guide, it only needs to have the stuff that players need. Thus, no world building, ship building etc., maybe the trade system, definitley character creation, combat, space combat, equipment etc.

Of course, it could also be the whole book if a smaller typeface is used (hopefully still a readable one) and the text packed a bit more densely.

Either way, it will be a boon to players and GMs alike.

Mongoose's previous pocket books have been only for people with large pockets. I think I have all the Pocket books Mongoose ever made.
