Traveller: Prelude to the Armistice Character Query

Hopeless

Mongoose
First of the characters I'm considering for the game I'm planning on running next weekend.

Character’s Name: Wulfric Sigmundsen
Nationality: Swedish
Career: Technician (Rank 1)
Age: 22
UPP: 7A7BB5-5
Skills: Communications +0, Computer +0, Drive +0, Engineer/Power Systems +2, Languages +0, /Native Swedish +1, Mechanic +1, Medic +0, Science +0, Trade +0

Gear & Money: $20,000, Personal Laptop, you own your own vehicle (you can pick what it is as long as it exists as of today!)

Ally/Hercule Van Zeeman you can select a new skill at +0 or improve one of the above by +1, you also can select any modern day skill at +1 but do so in return for a minor addiction either alcohol or smoking so if you choose to not go for the extra bonus +1 skill you don’t get the addiction disadvantage the one received through the ally bit you get anyway.

Current protege of Hercule Van Zeeman more of an assistant actually was allowed to work with Morgan and her research team but due to unofficial status wasn't transferred along with the rest of her team.
One of the few who know enough about Morgan to recognise her on sight and is aware she's married to a Canadian Mountie.

Second Character:

Character’s Name: Laura Braun
Nationality: German
Career: Corporate Lawyer (Rank 2)
Age: 26
UPP: 777995-6
Skills: Admin +2, Advocate +2, Broker +1, Computers +0, Diplomat +1, Drive +0 Languages +0, /Native German +1, Leadership +0, Medic +0, Persuade +1, Science +0

Gear & Money: $20,000, Personal Laptop, your own car (you can decide the make, colour and type you’re working for Richard Branson after all!)

Ally/Hercule Van Zeeman can select a new skill at +0 or improve one of the above by +1, Luck/1 (You can reroll one check per game session),

Corporate Lawyer you were assigned to Morgan's project thanks to your links to her former mentor Hercule Van Zeeman and was directly involved in getting the extradition request turned down which meant you were blindsided by Manuel Cortez's illegal transfer of Morgan's entire research team, research materials and prototypes that were lost in transit to an American facility.

Third Character;

Character’s Name: Hercule Van Zeeman
Nationality: Dutch
Career: ESA Scientist (Rank 2)
Age: 38
UPP: 898CC8-2
Skills: Communications +1, Computer +2, Diplomat +0, Investigate +1, Languages +0, /Native Dutch +1, Medic +1, Science/Astronomy +3, /Chemistry +1, Physics +2, /Psychology +1,

Gear & Money: $100,000, select a hand gun you have +0 skill in that weapon you will need to buy reloads for it (see below)

Notes: You will always know what the time is as long as you’ve taken time to get over the time lapse once you’ve reached Canada and vice versa, you also own a small house over in Canada near where Morgan’s research lab was based in Toronto but due to his standing he suffers from an arrogant attitude to those outside of his profession taking a -1 penalty to Intelligence and Social Standing checks when behaving around non-scientists including Morgan’s husband!

You have a gun licence but unless you travelling within the US it must be unloaded as you aren’t a law enforcement agent, you will be arrested if found with a loaded weapon.

You are Morgan’s former mentor, you requested Laura to function as your advocate in case legal assistance is required and Wulfric is your assistant (Think Jurassic Park 3 and Sam Neill’s character’s assistant).

Morgan Stuart (figured I ought to emphasise her married name!)
Career: Scientist (Rank 1)
Age: 32
UPP: 987CB6-8
Skills: Admin +1, Communications +0, Computers +1, Diplomat +0, Engineer/Power Systems +2, Investigate +0, Languages 0, /Native Serbian +1, /French +1, Mechanic +2, Medic +0, Science/Astronomy +1, /Physics +3, Survival +0

Notes:
Has Eidetic Memory meaning she doesn't forget anything she's read or heard, owns her own research lab in Toronto and co-owns with her husband a small property in the backwoods of Canada currently unaware she's the focus of a manhunt as she's snowed in with her husband and infant son.

Brief Background: Orphaned in '95 fled to Sweden under an assumed established by her grandfather, recruited on an antarctic mission that led to her being recruited by Hercule Van Zeeman in '06 based in Toronto where she met and married her husband Nathan in '09 giving birth early the next year before being transferred to Paris in '11 until the project she was working on was shelved and she returned home to Canada to celebrate christmas with her family.

Fourth and final character;

Character’s Name: Carl Wagner
Nationality: German
Career: Interpol Agent (Rank 1)
Age: 26
UPP: 9C6A96-5
Skills: Advocate +1, Communications +1, Computers +1, Deception +1, Drive +0, Gun Combat/Pistol +1, Investigate +0, Languages +0, /Native German +1, Melee/Unarmed +1, Recon +1, Stealth +1, Streetwise +0,

Gear & Money: $20,000, your choice of handgun, 3 reloads for it, Blue Tooth Ear piece, Mobile Phone (with blue tooth connection), Mobile Phone Recharger.

Notes: You have contacts with various police and intelligence agencies including the Canadian Police, as well as ESA however you also have a rival in MI5 by name of Alistair Montgomery

You were assigned to act as bodyguard to Van Zeeman his assistant and lawyer, but your primary task is to locate and retrieve the missing research scientist who is believed to be in danger as the air crash that claimed the rest of her research team along with the project materials and prototypes is considered suspicious especially as she was accidentally reported as being on the same flight even though she had returned to her home in Canada shortly before Christmas before the extradition request was sent.

Sorry guess I really ought to explain.

The game I'm planning is using Traveller with some bits from T2300 but given they're supposed to be Traveller Modern characters I'm trying to keep them within what should be available or possible today.

I've posted them to the players to look through and decide whether they want to go with them or create their own knowing as much of the background for this adventure as possible but I'd like second and even third opinions on this in case I've missed something or some avenues I ought to reconsider since whilst this might not last much more than a one shot adventure I do want to look at establishing a possible campaign from the setting I'm trying to establish with this adventure and any advice would be welcome!

Thanks in advance!
