Traveller: Prelude to Armistice

Well after setting up a couple of threads to discuss this I figured I ought to try and see if I can get this up and running!

Went with the below to see if they're interested.

Would you be interested in an earthbound game of Traveller?

You'd be playing members of ESA assigned to find a missing research scientist from the backwoods of Canada.
She was part of a project team researching a working maneuver drive on behalf of all of the space agencies (NASA, ESA, Russian and Chinese versions) which ended due to political and economic problems (recession its set pretty much in the current year) however being part of the ESA team she successfully tested a cold fusion reactor in front of one of the backers of the project (Richard Branson I figure a good choice!) but the American authorities were tipped off about her and discovered she has links to a Serbian War Criminal so have issued a warrant for her arrest and extradition to the US for questioning.
ESA have of course complained as she has the backing of her backer but before all of this kicked off she returned to Canada after being suspended to be with her family.
An american superior arranged for all of her research material and team to be reassigned to an American facility but an accident in transit left her entire team dead and as far as its known all of her research materials destroyed meaning she's the only person left who has any knowledge of how to make her cold fusion reactor work.
You have been selected because at least one or more have actually met her so can recognise her and more importantly actually know enough about her to know where she may have gone.
With the US Government arguing about her immediate extradition, the Russians and the Chinese demanding to know whats going on its now critical that you locate her and return to France with her safe and sound because its suspected the accident with her project team wasn't an accident and whilst the Americans are willing to believe she is behind it ESA specifically you now better and suspect she may well be next...

Please note although previous threads suggested a plot so far so how it develops if I can get them interested will largely depend on their reactions right up to during the game itself if it gets that far so feel free to share your view as I'd like to keep this as close to hard science fiction as possible and I've already been made aware to steer clear of stereotypes I wasn't even aware I had so any advice would be welcome!
