Traveller Online Games

I was just wondering if anyone is doing a Traveller online game, be it on this site or their own boards, with room for another player, myself.

I am interested on getting a session in, but nobody in my group really runes games that much.

Well, i am thinking of starting another one on another site RPOL, its early days yet but if you are interested i could start to try and set things up.

I'm in two games on RPOL, it's a great site. Easy to use (from a player's POV anyway) and seem very thorough. I will say the dice roller seems to go in phases - everyone rolls well for a while then everyone rolls poorly for a while. Other than that, it's great.

Count me in. I'm always game to give a Trav game a go. We get enough interest, I might even be coerced into running a game as well.

I am interested as well, I like military/exploration type games but I would play anything you wish to run.

I'm toying with running a MTU Google+ mercenary campaign. This would be more of a domain level type game, with players controlling their own unit or subunits within the same unit.

I'm flexible, of course, but have a soft spot in my heart (head?) for old school tramp freighter full of misanthropes with hearts of gold who do good deeds against their better judgement and somehow manage a slim profit now and again.

Exploration of a unmapped sector and all that cold be found there.
Military themed, either Mercenaries or Navy/marines.
Other themes that interests you.

I am quite open to ideas, and also characters and races you want to play.

As big a fan as I am of the classic Traveller campaign, I'd be just as interested in a military themed one - mainly because I've never played one before.

I liking the Exploration of a unmapped sector myself. But as I said before I would play anything.

I'm always up for a good game.

What type of game do I like? A game with a good group of people is usually a good game no matter what type.

However I tend not to enjoy mysteries laden with clues and puzzles that are left to be noticed and solved by the player and not the character. If I'm constantly using my own intellectual skills it's harder for me to enjoy the aspects of getting into character.

OK, looks like i better get this started up then. Lets go with a exploration theme then.
As it will take a little while to set up things on RPOL, which will be an ideal site for a PbP game, i will use this thread to keep you updated, and then link to RPOL.
If you have any character ideas, or for that matter just ideas, out them here for the time being.
As an exploration themed game, how about a custom made ship, around 500dts?

Oh, and in response to cosmic gamer, if there are any in game puzzles, there for the character to solve by tasks resolution, not the player. I find the solve puzzles as player also distracting from the role playing of the game.

i've been a traveller gm 3 times & counting, but never actually played the game myself!
looks like online might be the only chance i have...

i'd be interested in a mix of any/all the styles you mentioned.
