traveller conundrums

im new to traveller and have found some twissts in the rules:
If I buy subdermal armor, can I get the visilight upgrade for it (or for vehicles)?
If I choose cyber parts for limb replacement, can I get the internal weapon upgrade?
If I get a data chip with expert remote operations/10 and put it into my wafer jack and use my neural comm to connect to a human lookalike robot, will I have effectively "changed bodies"?
I could go on, but these are my favourites.

Interesting... I think by definition, sub-dermal armour is under the skin, so probably not. But, perhaps there's room for another implant that gives the user vislight chameleon skin.

Don't see why not.

Short answer is no. Long answer: Your neural computer can have a max rating of Comp/1 (Comp/3 if specialist), so you won't get the benefit of that Remote Ops/10. In addition, you will be using a comm channel to interface with that android, so you are effected by time lag if at a large distance and the signal can be jammed. I think your character will not get full human-type biofeedback from a construct - and that construct might be easy to spot as nonhuman on a close inspection. :)

Is there a way to make the third one work? I am running a game with a noble is the bad guy, and I would like this as a suprise.
More odd ones:
Could I make a distributed ships hull glass on a whim, or is that an upgrade in high guard?
Can a computer expert program run JAOT?
(repeat) Can a vehicle with armor have visilight?

My answer to this would depend on whether you're admitting true AI into your Traveller universe. Canon is unclear on this prior to TNE; my reading has been that you don't get true AI.

Without true AI, I don't believe you can have programmatic JoAT; my take on the skill is that it's a combination of broad-based knowledge (which an expert system can have) and 'pointy-end' experience (which an expert system probably can't have), coupled with the intuition/insight/leap of (il)logic that is just outright impossible for anything that doesn't have human-level true intelligence (artificial or not).
