Traveller Campaign Guide

Forgive me if this has been answered elsewhere (Ive tried searching the forums but haven't found much.) Has there been any recent news on the Traveller Campaign Guide? It was slated to be released towards the end of the year and I was hoping to have seen some info about it, by now. - http://blog.mongoosepublishing.co.uk/index.php?blog=2&title=traveller_campaign_guide_and_new_books&more=1&c=1&tb=1&pb=1

In July 2010 I asked Matt Sprange about the Campaign Guide and I received this reply:-

>>>Do you have any info re: progress with the Traveller Campaign guide?
Indeed - we are working on it right now and are looking to release it around
Novemer this year!

However, if he needs volunteers to playtest / check this book out before a full scale print run, count me in :)

The manuscript of the Campaign Guide is just being finished, and we will have it out early next year!

Take a look at "The State of the Mongoose 2010" forum.

This is what is says about Campaign Guide:-

Our internal reorganisation made the Campaign Guide slip its release date into early 2011, but this will be a book I have waited a long time to use myself. The basic premise is for the book to be the perfect referee’s helper, to the extent that it will be possible for him to sit down at the table, with no preparation whatsoever, and run an entire campaign with none of the players being any the wiser – perfect for the lazy/busy referee! This one is due in March, about the same month as the next Alien Module, Zhodani.

Looking forward to both :)

Supplement 9: Campaign Guide said:
The Campaign Guide for Traveller is a referee’s new best friend! Contained within this hardback are countless adventure hooks, mini-systems, maps and other tools that can be used at a moment’s notice. Also included is the Automatic Campaign System, a tool that binds the contents of this book together to allow a referee to run a complete campaign, from start to finish, with no preparation whatsoever!

Designed for the lazy/busy referee, the Campaign Guide is the perfect tool with which to create a complete campaign with as little work as possible!

I remember seeing this in the last State of the Mongoose and I've been waiting to get my hot little hands on it ever since. Even if it gets pushed back by a month or two, just knowing that I can get it this year is pretty good.

I'll probably be ordering several copies for my friends as well. Everyone I know has expressed interest.

Are you using temporal manipulation to jump ahead and bring it back to this year? If so, share!

Whoops, although that's not as bad as the "hot little hans" typo I originally made. I wouldn't mind giving a copy of the Campaign Guide to Hans, but I fear what he may do to it.

I suspect lederhosen will probably feature in there somewhere. :D

Ah, "Hans" is the more northerly subspecies of the common German, the
one that is rarely seen in lederhosen (except as a tourist in southern Ger-
many). The more southerly subspecies of Germans that - occasionally -
wears lederhosen is usually called "Josef" or "Sepp" ...

While I figure Campaign Guide will play nice with Third Imperium games, will it play nice with a few alternative universes I've picked up along the way? (Judge Dredd, Strontium Dog, Reft Sector, Hammer's Slammers)

Reft Sector is an alternate universe?
