Traveller 2nd Edition errata

Is it possible to get information on errata for traveller without needing to buy the pdf? Are the errata items summarised anywhere?

I notice from the preorder pdf that the equipment guide has a whole bunch of errors as it stands - are these being addressed prior to it going to print?

I have some errata on the 2nd Version Core Rule Book - in chargen under Mustering Out Benefits, regarding ships it mentions you can get various ships but for the merchant you need to roll 1D times on the ship quirks table, yet for others it says roll several times on the Old Ship Table. This makes no sense why would you roll several times on that table? And surely getting an old ships means you get quirks along with it. So what is it - roll several times on the ship quirks table or roll once on the old ship table and get quirks along with it? I am confused. I would change this rule to 'roll once on the Old Ships Table' as that would then make some sense and cover both bases. So I guess I will be changing that manually in my book.

Just a quick digression - how similar to the 1e Scientist career is the 2e Scientist career?
Pretty much the same. In 2e, careers now have college education and military schools. Even prison time.

Just a quick check which may qualify as errata in both the Traveller 2nd and HG play test. Is the thruster correct for the TL9 launch. The sheets in both items give a size of 2 tons for the Thrust 1 maneuver drive but the formula in the HG beta indicates it should be 1% of the hull or 0.01 * 20 which is 0.2 tons.

So should it be 0.2 tons or 2 tons?

It should be 0.2 tons, the cost is off as well.

Most of the small craft are way off?

E.g. the Fighter (TL9):
Armour: 2,5 dT: 2p Crystaliron is 0.25 dT. Crystaliron is TL10.
Thrust: 2 dT: 6% ManD is 0,6 dT. ManD 6 is TL 12.
Power: Power 15 from 1 dT is a TL15 plant.
Sensor: Military grade is TL10.

It seems like the consensus is that there isn't an official errata short of getting the pdf?

Is there any liklihood of one getting put together anytime soon? (I'll get the pdf if I have to, but I tend to run games with a physical book, and would prefer to have an up-to-date list of changes without needing to refer between the two),

Originally there was a minimum size of 2 tons on the manoeuvre drive. That has since been removed, but the small craft in the core rulebook aren't updated from that change.

It sort of looks like the errata version is an edit of a version that was older than the released version.

Assuming the light fighter is supposed to be TL9 the only way to get thrust 6 is with a reaction drive which eats into the endurance - I could get 2.6 hours with a fuel efficient drive. The fusion power plant remains at 1dt and can produce 11 power points which is sufficient for this version while the military grade sensors are prototypes (I went for increased size and the 500% cost) The result was a very expensive fighter costing MCr22.4415 before any discount. The hull was left as Titanium 2 not crystal iron. There was also 0.08 dt of cargo for the pilots lunch box.

Thank you. I may get the 2E core book for the career revisions after all.

Another piece of probable errata in the 2nd edition - the submersible drive option for vehicles is not included in the options table and therefore does not have a price or weight stated. Can't be free surely, I would imagine that would be very expensive and take up a lot of tonnage as well with all the stiffening required etc.

Vehicle construction will be covered in Vehicle Handbook, and does include an Aquatic Drive.
